Cairn Privacy Policy

The short version: Cairn collects no data. Not a minimal amount, none. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected", and this page is the longer way of saying the same thing.

What Cairn stores, and where

Cairn keeps two kinds of information, both only on your device, inside the app's private storage:

• Your preferences, such as the theme you chose.
• Your sort history: the values you placed and ranked in each cairn.

Nothing you sort, rank, or read is ever transmitted anywhere. There is no server to send it to.

How to remove it

You can delete past sorts and reset your settings inside the app, in Settings. Deleting the app from your device removes everything Cairn ever stored, completely.

What Cairn never does

• No accounts or sign-in. Cairn never asks for your name, email, or location.
• No analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
• No tracking and no advertising.
• No third-party frameworks or SDKs.
• No network connection required. Cairn works fully offline.

The tip jar

Cairn offers optional, one-time tips. If you choose to tip, the purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store; Cairn receives no personal information about you, and Apple's handling of the transaction is governed by Apple's privacy policy. The app also checks its own App Store receipt on your device to tell beta builds apart from App Store builds; that check involves no information about you.

Children

Cairn collects no data from anyone, and that includes children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with a revised effective date. Since Cairn collects nothing, a change could only ever describe less than that, or explain the same thing more clearly.
